Electromagnetic induction type strip edge detector [IGS]

The strip edge detector is capable of detecting the edge position of a strip moving through the plating tank of a steel plating line through utilizing the electromagnetic induction method that is unique to EMG and performing accurate movement control without any disagreement over the strip.
Characterized by the fork shape and plastic blocks and the transmitting/receiving coil being molded into the insulation material.

Features

Conventionally pneumatic strip edge detectors have been widely used in steel plating lines.
The features of the electromagnetic induction technique enable the IGS sensor of the EMG to be used fin highly accurate detection without being influenced by fumes, droplets, scale, etc. This detector is often subsequently used in steel plating lines because of their harsh environments. The detection accuracy is as high as +-1mm.
